Beware of Anger
The Prophet of the Lord Jesus Christ, Pres. Thomas S. Monson. spoke in Oct Conference in 2009 that we should beware of anger. Pres. Monson said he was watching the news and was impressed by the spirit that the message of many of the stories was designed to incite anger in the people. He then warned us to "school our feelings" and to beware of anger. Pres. Monson reminded us of several scriptures that warn us of anger:
Psalm 37:8 Cease from anger, and forsake wrath.
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
Eph 4:26 Can ye be angry, and not sin? let not the sun go down upon your wrath.
3 Nephi 11:28-30 “There shall be no disputations among you. … For verily, verily I say unto you, he that hath the spirit of contention is not of me, but is of the devil, who is the father of contention, and he stirreth up the hearts of men to contend with anger, one with another. Behold, this is not my doctrine, to stir up the hearts of men with anger, one against another; but this is my doctrine, that such things should be done away.”
Pres. Monson added his own prophetic words saying, "Anger, Satan’s tool, is destructive in so many ways. . . To be angry is to yield to the influence of Satan. No one can make us angry. It is our choice. If we desire to have a proper spirit with us at all times, we must choose to refrain from becoming angry. I testify that such is possible."

Thank you for your comments: a reader questioned the conspiracy on this post. I admit it is unusual content. I did consider removing it. I guess you could say that I woke up recently. I clearly begin that section saying they were my personal feelings.
But also, please realize that the Book of Mormon is very conspiratorial, as well as the movie the Testaments. And I would encourage you to read Elder Bednar's talk in LDS General Conference.
Dear David,
I’d like to take a minute to introduce myself. I’m Karen with the More Good Foundation in Orem, UT, a non-profit devoted to the promotion of positive, accurate content about who we are as members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints online. We’ve created over 340 websites, added numerous YouTube channels, and operated lock-step with the Church to enable members to engage safely in the online conversation.
I’ve noticed that your blog www.ldsdoctrine.blogspot.com actually shows up on a matrix we’ve developed to track progression of certain keywords that friends of other faiths are seeking. Great work! I thought it might be beneficial for us to talk by phone to see how we might assist you in the work you are already doing. We have created tools and other software that we freely share with those engaged in this cause and think it’s profitable if we are united in our efforts to reclaim the internet space for good.
I’d love to arrange a time to talk by phone and share a Power Point regarding the vision of More Good Foundation, and learn more about your own website, goals and interest in the online conversation.
If you have any questions prior to setting up a time to converse, please feel free to email me or contact my Executive Assistant, Victoria Neeleman.
Sincerely,
Karen R Trifiletti, M.A.
